Head/graphics mod (backup art, shipping mod)
Kiel | he/she
“Honestly this project is just something cool I want to host for the LVJY community. I love LVJY’s music and have been thinking of doing something like this for a while, might be a bit of a hyperfixation even!”
Previous Experience: Head mod for Unfinished Symphony: a DSMP comic retelling, Art mod for Analogue: a Wilbur Soot zine, Anemoia: a sk8 zine, XDivination and 9 others, Organisation/general mod for the Benchtrio zine and Graphic mod for Quirks & Curses: a BNHA x JJK zine and 3 others.Instagram, Twitter

Formatting mod
Emily | they/them
“Hiya! I'm Emily and I'm going to be your formatting mod ✌️ I've gotten into Lovejoy through Wilbur Soot, as one does xD I've modded Anthem of Freedom before, and a number of other zines as well.”

Writing mod
Rafael
“hello, I’m mod Rafael and I’ll be the writing mod for this fanzine. My favorite Lovejoy song is One Day! I became obsessed with it back when Wil first played a clip on his stream, and it's stayed my favorite all this time. I've previously run a zine for the Penumbra Podcast, but I've also had a few short stories of my own published in lit mags! Aside from that, I've been writing both one-shot and multi-chapter fanfictions for a little over a decade at this point.”

Art mod
Kai | she/they
“Hello, I’m mod Kai and I’m super excited to be the art mod for this zine!
I’ve been a fan of Lovejoy since their first album, and I luckily got the chance to see them Live at the Shaky Knees Fest in Atlanta, GA.
I have been in the zine community for about 4 years now and have been in 20+ zines (mostly as a page artist). Excited to be here and help out!!”

Contributor Guidelines
[CLOSED]

Applications:

Thank you for considering applying for this fanzine! Please read through these guidelines to make sure you don’t accidentally disqualify your application. For any and all applications, you will be required to showcase 3 to 5 of your best/favourite pieces that demonstrate your abilities.
Keep these showcase pieces recent (we want to see what you can do now!)
When showcasing works that would need a content warning, please mark it as such in the application.
No NSFW in any stage of the application.
No boundary breaking works will be allowed to pass through the application process.
* We will be judging solely on the works and portfolio handed to us and ask that controversial views/discussions are kept out of this project and stay personal.
Artists: No need for background but is preferred. No need for lovejoy fanart but need to have a drawing of at least one of the members in the band, or a drawing of a band.
Keep your showcased pieces recent ones so we can have a grasp on your style at the moment, only show styles you feel confident and comfortable drawing in.
Authors: No need for lovejoy pieces but is preferred.
Currently looking for mainly Journalists/Article writers but is open to respectful fanfiction*: eg. narration of the band preforming, or getting ready for a gig, etc.
* Possibility of this changing with the new mod team.
Other Creatives:*
As I, the head mod, have observed in this community, there are a lot of creators that don’t necessarily fit in the “artist” or “author” category. I wanted to open this fanzine to those people as well!
Examples: Photographers/editors, Scrapbookers, Graphic designers, potentially songwriters, and more.
Please follow similar guidelines as the other two.For photography applications, insure that the photos submitted are your own and are photographs of people rather than landscapes (preferably bands, if not Lovejoy itself). Avoid selfies in your showcase.
Once accepted in the zine, we would prefer you take a new set of pictures but understand that concerts are not super easy to come by. Unseen pictures (never posted online) would be preferred, regardless of when they are taken, but this is not a necessary requirement.
*Journalists and photographer(s) will have the opportunity to work together.
Any niche creator is welcome to apply, just make sure you are able to create a new unseen work for the zine.
